Counselling and Independent Sexual Violence Advisory Services in Kent
Counselling - In a way that works for you
Counselling provides a safe, supportive, and trauma‑informed space in a secure online room or in person at one of our centres.
Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVA)
For anyone navigating the criminal justice system (CJS), ISVA’s can provide emotional support and practical information.
We provide a safe, confidential and supportive space for survivors of sexual violence, rape or sexual abuse including child sexual abuse.
Sexual violence includes any sexual behaviour that is unwanted or takes place without consent. It does not always involve physical contact. This can include rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual violence within relationships, child sexual abuse, online grooming, and indecent images of children.
We are a confidential, independent service — separate from social services, the police, and other official agencies.
We will never judge you or tell you what to do.

Our Mission
At the Kent Sexual Assault and Abuse Service (KSAAS), our mission is to create a community where everyone can live free from all forms of sexual violence.
Working within a feminist, equalities, and human rights framework, we also offer inclusive, specialist support to survivors of all ages and genders affected by sexual violence.
We are committed to:
Responding to Survivors’ Needs
Providing compassionate, empowerment‑based support that recognises the rights, experiences, and voices of all survivors.
Reducing the Impact of Sexual Violence
Offering support, information, advocacy, and education to help individuals heal and rebuild their lives.
Challenging Oppression
Actively opposing the systems and attitudes that perpetuate sexual violence and inequality.
Changing Societal Attitudes
Working to shift the beliefs, behaviours, and cultures that normalise or excuse sexual violence.
Our Commitment
Through a holistic and survivor‑centred approach, KSAAS provides help, hope, and healing. We support individuals, strengthen communities, and drive meaningful change to build a safer, non‑violent future for everyone.

Support our growth
There are multiple ways to support KSAAS, whether through fundraising, volunteering or making a donation.
Every penny that we raise will go towards supporting our survivors and their friends and family as they try to rebuild their lives in the wake of the traumas inflicted on them.
