Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA)

Responsible to: ISVA Manager / Head of ISVA Services

Salary: £25,000

Hours: 35 hours per week. Part time considered. Occasional out-of-hours meetings may be required. Initial 1 year contract.

Location: Ashford / Canterbury - Travel to other sites may be required.

Requirements: Right to work in the UK; enhanced DBS check (carried out through KSAAS); full UK driving licence and use of own car.

The duties of our ISVAs include managing a caseload to provide support to clients, through a range of channels as appropriate, including face-to-face, video, text and telephone, and contact clients or the parents/carers of service users in a timely and professional manner. Working with clients who are survivors of sexual abuse to promote their emotional and physical wellbeing while listening to their needs and use a trauma-informed approach to develop an appropriate support plan. To undertake risk and needs assessments and provide ongoing support and advice on risk management. Supporting service users to report (if they choose to), and through each stage of the criminal justice process, explaining procedures and their rights and entitlements, including under the Victims’ Code. To support service users to make informed choices about their options and to access the services they need and to which they are entitled. Helping clients identify and work towards personal goals and be able to advocate and, where appropriate, challenge on behalf of service users. Be able to identify and respond to child and adult safeguarding concerns, following relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

ISVAs will need to develop and maintain effective communication with key partners including police, CPS, court services, education/schools, mental health and sexual health services, Victim Gateway, the Witness Service and other voluntary sector organisations for the betterment of our clients.

Therapeutic Service Manager

Responsible For: Operational Management  of KSAAS Therapeutic Services

Salary: £33,000 (With  Possibility of Two Annual Incremental Increases Up to £35,000)

Hours: 35 Hours Per  Week

Location: Canterbury  (With Regular Travel To Countywide Hubs)

Contract Type: Fixed term

Main Purpose of The Role

The Therapeutic Service Manager is responsiblefor operational oversight of KSAAS’s therapeutic services for individuals whohave experienced sexual assault or abuse, ensuring every survivor is heard,believed, and supported in ways that honour their lived experiences and diverseidentities. As a service manager, you will be responsible for operationaldelivery of high quality, trauma informed and survivor centred therapeuticservices. You will also be responsible for developing a safe, respectful and inclusiveworking environment, and providing high quality mentoring, role modelling, managementand wellbeing support to staff working within the service.  As someone who works closely with staff andsurvivors, you will be instrumental in evidence based development ofprogressive high quality, accessible services in line with staff, partner andsurvivor feedback

Operations Manager

Responsible To: Chief Executive Officer

Responsible For: Admin Staff & Volunteers

Salary: £34,000 to £37,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: 35 Hours Per Week

Location: Canterbury (With Travel To Countywide HubsWhere Needed)

Main Purpose of The Role

AT KSAAS, the Operations Manager leads the day-to-day management of the office and administration team, oversees organisational operational and administrative systems, and acts as the key point of contact for all operational matters. They work collaboratively with the leadership team to develop, implement, evaluate and improve organisational operational policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance, ethical working, effective service coordination and high standard client, staff, partner and stakeholder experience. They line manage the administrative staff and coordinate the volunteering & training services. At KSAAS, the operations lead is supported directly by the CEO, Head of ISVA Services & Head of Therapeutic Services and indirectly by the Board of Trustees.  We are looking for a candidate who has extensive experience of administrative or operations roles, preferably at manager level.
