About us

Kent Sexual Assault and Abuse Service (KSAAS) is a dedicated support charity providing help to people affected by sexual violence and abuse. Funded by the Kent Police Crimes Commissioner (PCC) and formerly known as the East Kent Rape Crisis Centre (EKRCC), we have grown since our founding in 1981 into a countywide organisation committed to offering safe, compassionate and empowering support for survivors.

Every member of our team—staff, volunteers, trustees and sessional workers—plays an essential role in creating an environment where survivors feel believed, respected and supported.

We provide expert, confidential services for people who have experienced rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual exploitation or any form of sexual violence.

Our support includes:

  • Specialist counselling
  • Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) support
  • Group work and peer support
  • Advocacy and partnership work
  • Prevention, training and community engagement

We work across Kent, ensuring our services are accessible, inclusive and shaped by survivor experience.

Our Mission

At the Kent Sexual Assault and Abuse Service (KSAAS), our mission is to create a community where everyone can live free from all forms of sexual violence.
